HeartSpace New Mexico’s Intensive Outpatient Program offers an individualized, compassionate, holistic path toward healing and wholeness. Our curriculum is facilitated by a multidisciplinary team of Licensed Counselors, Therapists, Spiritual Practitioners and Healers, ensuring that each participant receives comprehensive support grounded in clinical expertise and sacred care.
The program supports participants in strengthening safety, resilience, and emotional balance while honoring the interconnected nature of the mind, body, spirit, and heart. Clients are invited to explore how trauma, substance use, stress, and life experiences shape their inner world—thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships—and to gently transform these patterns with tools rooted in grounding, mindfulness, self-awareness, and intentional living.
Through an individualized curriculum that weaves together group counseling, psychosocial education, experiential modalities, family therapy, and a range of supportive services, participants learn to recognize their triggers, cultivate self-compassion, establish healthy boundaries, and communicate with greater clarity and authenticity. The program also emphasizes nurturing the body, tending to emotional well-being, deepening spiritual connection in whatever way feels true to each person, and building supportive, heartcentered relationships that sustain healing and growth.
As clients practice integrating these skills into everyday life, they develop a sense of inner stability and empowerment. The goal is for each participant to move forward feeling more aligned, centered, and connected—to themselves, to others, and to a renewed sense of purpose and well-being.
IOP services, including group therapy, psychoeducation, treatment planning, and family sessions, are delivered by licensed or supervised clinicians and meet all New Mexico Medicaid and commercial payer requirements for Intensive Outpatient services.
The Intensive Outpatient Program typically runs 15 weeks

An Experiential Workshop for Healing and Connection
Holidays can be hard, especially for those experiencing grief, whether from the loss of a loved one, life transitions, relationship changes, or the complexities of being human. Grief can manifest in various forms, and you don’t need a specific loss to join—some of us simply find the holidays bring up unexpected emotions from memories past.
